Hicksborough cafe dining room with pine chairs, local artwork on walls, and cafe counter in background

Since 1910

A corner building that has been part of North Wonthaggi for over a century, and the café that makes it worth visiting today.

A place with a long story

The Hicksborough Store has been on this corner since 1910. The walls inside are covered with local paintings and historical details that guests spend time reading between courses. The building itself is part of the experience.

Today a couple runs the café, serving serious coffee and a menu that takes the setting in a different direction: Korean-influenced dishes that catch first-time visitors off-guard and keep regulars coming back. Friday and Saturday evenings, the kitchen opens again for dinner.
